ἐνθάδε. [1 verse](adv) "Hither" is from enthade, which means "hither," "thither," "here," and "now."

In the passive, it means "to be in a person's thoughts," and "to be desired." -- The term translated as "think" is not a common Greek word that is usually translated as "think" in the KJV. This word is used by Jesus only here. It means "to ponder", "to notice," or "to infer." In the passive, it means "to be thought about or desired", but here it is in a form, which means that the subject is being acted upon by itself or for its own benefit, that is, "you are thinking about yourselves". This form is plural.

ἐντολὴν [23 verses](noun sg fem acc) "Commandments" is entole which means "injunction," "order," and "command." -- The word translated as "commandments" has the sense of a direct "order" or "command" given by someone as opposed to a body of law or tradition in society. Jesus uses it to refer to the written Law, his lessons, and the commands given by someone in authority.
